Aliens would have travelled a million light years to get here and, with that technology, they would have sorted out guns. And they would have brought their own cookies. So, I would take them a photo of Keira Knightley (or a pirates DVD), a JT CD, England winning the 2003 world cup, a gallon of Old Peculier and a night with my sister.

Heck, It depends if I know if they invading or not.
If they are invading, heck yeah I'd go for the guns...
but If they came to study humans, I'd make the closest human vessel go greet them, otherwise I'd run away.
What if they're allergic to cookies? Or if I can't make them in time? Should I just like, run straight to the store and say "Sorry I ran away I went to get some cookies?"
What if they just EXPLODE or burst in flames right in front of me? I have no Idea what they would do?
Would they be like that alien from supernatural who probed some guy and then they slow danced? Hm?

A gun would not to much good to race who can travel vast distances in space. So I would bring cookies and hope for the best.

Waterpistols and a camcorder. And a plate of cookies. Cookies are always a good thing.

There is a new product on the market. It's actually seasoned buck-shot (true, no more diggin the pellets out of the turkey on thanksgiving; just plug the turkey with your favorite gauge, de-feather, roast and enjoy.)
All that to say: I'd probably take both.

You mean the ones that trespass illegally?
I'd take out guns if I had any.
Or the ones with the UFOs?
I'd kill them too and then take them to a laboratory or something so they could examine after they agree to pay me a good amount of money.

it always bothers me in science fiction films that as soon as these creatures land they must be eliminated
I am not sure that I would greet them with cookies, either!

A camera to take pics, and make money. Then I would give them cookies =). And after I became a millionare, I'd take out a rifle and shoot them.

Probably cookies but knowing luck they would have an allergic reaction and die. Then I would lie awake at night waiting for intergalactic payback.
