Wanna hear a cute story?

Too bad! I'm telling it anyways!

theres this icecream store whith birds you can look at and some fly freeley and this one bird, Ziggy, was a cockatoo- he was the best one there! when he saw us he'd say Mama! Mama! then say Jump! Jump! Jump! and we'd yell with him. then he'd stop and walk closer to us and say: SHUT UP!

its his routine- does it every time now...

i had a parakeet years ago named Buddy.
he used to get out of his cage and sit on top of it and go "heere kitty kitty kitty..." and when the cat came to him {we knew that the cat wouldn't do anything to the bird) he would yell "shut up!" {wonder where he heard that from} then jump on top of the cat and ride around the house.....funniest thing EVER!!!!

Used to care for and name birds and had:

Aurora & Nigel - Rose Breasted Cockatoo
Einstein - Scarlet Macaw
Shauna and Percy - African Greys
Spanky, Darla, Buckwheat and Alfalfa - Quakers
Cowboy - Amazon

A lot depended on their personalities. Naming them was one of the coolest things! Can't wait to be in a house of our own so we can get a bird! Enjoy your feathered friends everyone, I'm jealous!

I don't have a bird, but my neighbors do. It's a big, beautiful white cockatoo who whistles and squawks loudly enough to be heard down the block.

My neighbors called the bird Francisco.

Until she laid an egg.

Now they have to call her Francesca.

Parakeets: Angel & Rainbow

(We joke that Rainbow is gay b/c he humps Angel who is also a male! Guess that's what we get for giving them feminine names.)

Cockatiel: Jack

Senegal: Sydney

African Grey: Bobby

(He told us what his name is! We don't know how he came up w/that but everything he says is either Bobby this or Bob that. Once he even said: Robert, you are such a pig lol!)

Sunny -- he's a cockatiel.

We always stick with the "sky" theme when naming birds for some reason!
