I used to be afraid of what other people think of me, even as a Christian.
But the more I have come to know Jesus-- and His love and acceptance-- the less I care what other people say or think of me. I am secure in Jesus' love.

I'm not particularly afraid of either. People will have their opinions, they like me or they don't. I don't want to spend time with people who don't like me, so why would I try to get them to do just that?

As for God, I was in a Church for a Funeral and the pastor asked "If you died today, and God asked you what you had done for Him to deserve His Heaven, what would you say. At first, i was offended. Very compassionate to try and scare a bunch of people in mourning already. Then I thought about it.

Here is what I want to be able to say.

I can't possibly justify my life to You, You were there and You saw everything. You, as all knowing understand that it's difficult to be human and You as Creator have the final judgement. I didn't live my life for some reward after death, i lived it for the reward of Living it. I thank you for that, it was fun and I met a lot of great people and I have a blast loving You anf knowing You were with me. I wanted You to see every sunrise through my eyes and for You to enjoy every moment of Gladness with me. I've trusted You this far, so I guess a few more seconds should be easy. Whatever You do, I know it will be what is right. And if you decide to deny me, I'll find comfort in the great life I had and in Getting to spend these moment in Your Presence. That's all I ever wanted."

And that is why I'm not afraid of what God thinks of me. Because I trust Him.

At this point in my life...no. I did concern myself with what others thought of me as a young adult. Of course, I wasn't a Christian then either.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

I know the only one I will answer to is God, so what does it matter what other less than perfect people think of me?

I am careful, however, to be a good witness to the best of my ability. In that sense, I try to be a "salty" Christian and gracious in all things.

Sometimes, yes, because you can see and audibly hear people. God loves us all the time and we can tend to get really caught up in what is in this world. When I feel convicted of something, I know that I need to get alone and get right with God.

No, I am not afraid of what people think of me. I do care about how God looks at me. What he thinks of me as his child. I am not afraid to share my feelings about God and what he has done in my life. I have no life without him.

Dear carl,

I fear God! What other people think of me does not enter into the equation. What God knows about me is the fact of the matter.

Contary to god, I still cannot conclude on my part of his existence...As to other peoples opinions of me, no it does not hurt. Their will be those who hate me, and those that will like me but there can never be one sort of group in life.

No I have my struggles with pleasing people but I strive to please God first and foremost. It is His approval I need most.
