The problem is that so many people believe that whatever God says goes, no matter how contradictory or awful it might be. It's dangerous to work backwards like that, to assume God is perfect and then conclude everything he says is good as well. We should consider what he says first, then determine if he is perfect. Otherwise, people who believe God talks to them will just assume that even murder is fine.

There's also the issue of proving God's existence and, more importantly for this issue, the issue of proving that God DID speak to someone.

I guess because God doesn't usually audibly talk to anyone like he did in the days of Moses. God can talk to us in many ways, and much is felt through our hearts. This is how we discern something that God tells us to do. When a door is open, God is speaking. We can be called anything and we will be so if God is speaking to you, then just listen. It matters not what others think. what God has to say takes precedence over what any human as to say.

Most people would feel slighted if they had not heard that voice, too. It's a shame but it's the way it is. I think it's no stranger to receive an answer than not to. But hearing voices is taboo to the psychiatrical world so just don't tell anybody else, your relationship with God is always a personal one anyway.

people who don't have "ears to hearken to" won't be able to understand what we hear we would desire to be stiritual to become attentive to non secular issues Whe human beings don't have what we've, do no longer see what we see, do no longer hear what we hear....yet wish they might....conceal their thoughts in a wall of denial and criticism. a million Corinthians 2:14  however the organic guy receiveth no longer the failings of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he understand them, because of the fact they are spiritually discerned. Revelation 2:7  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; Revelation 2:11  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; . Revelation 2:17  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; Revelation 2:29  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 3:6  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 3:13  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 3:22  He that hath an ear, permit him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

His answer is called revelation. The Holy Ghost put answers in our hearts and in our minds in response to our humble and sincere petitions, called prayer. I am of sound mind and disposition and affirm to you and all others that I receive revelation on a regular basis concerning my responsibilities in life. Each of us has the right and responsibility to ask for and receive revelation to help us with our own realm of life. Those things that pertain to each one of us can be answered with a blessing from on high. Others who have not had this experience should not mock without giving it a real try first.

If you're hearing voices, you should see a doctor. If you're "praying" you need a better pass time. I'm not sure what you think you're accomplishing by talking to yourself.

Becuase God is mute....

You would have to be crazy if you thought a mute can talk....

... unless you didn't know that God was mute....

Then you wouldn't be crazy just ignorant... kinda like the person asking the question....

You have to be careful who you tell that God talks to you! I believe you. God doesn't talk out loud but it is a "knowing"

I don't look at "God talking to us" as him literally coming down off a cloud and talking to me. I view him as "talking to me" through the little signs of his works or answers to my prayers.

from my understanding if god was to talk we would die!
for lack of words!
we can not understand him!
that's why some specail people (schizophrenic" are profits and are to delay a message but never will one message be directed to a sole human it would be for a everyone to hear!

with more and more humans not falling for organized realigion they look at someone as they are nutty!
it's socially accepted so that wins!
