If possible, try using a parent for that kind of thing, you will save a lot of money. If that's not possible, try www.addatradeline.com. They will charge you probably over $1,000, but the money will be well worth it if you are trying to secure a mortgage or other loan at a lower rate.

Do keep in mind though, that "piggybacking" a tradeline will probably not be effective anymore in the near future. FICO is supposedly altering their scoring formula so that scores will not include "authorized user" accounts. From what I've read, it will affect one of the major agencies in September, then the other two in 2008. You'll want to make sure to piggyback an account well before then. Here's the article I'm referring to.

Hope this helps!

I agree with Marky about purchasing trade lines being ineffective soon.

The places that sell those AU accounts have caused an uproar in the financial world and it won't be long before being an AU will be meaningless.

I hope they go after the places that sell the trade lines, and the people that bought them, which they may end up doing.

You may be throwing your money away right now if you purchase a trade line.

Also, you would stand a very good risk of ID theft

There is a very good article in "Most Popular" today titled "Piggybacking" roils credit industry.

Read it, because if certain people have their way, it will be illegal soon.
