You preach the unadulterated truth. Bush will not rest until he is able to dedicate a new arlington, a new national cemetary to house the dead of his crusade for corporate profits.
Bush is a modern day Hitler.
The outspoken minority that support this attrition have forever tarnished America's name.
We all fell victim to Bush's lies, we all believed his fearmongering.
Bush is the greatest terrorist to ever live.
The only difference between Bush and Hitler is Hitler had majority support when he came to office.

If we keep steady at the average casualty rate, we'll have to be in Iraq for a much, MUCH longer time to get anywhere CLOSE to reaching 58,000 American casualties; no "striking parallels" there. Reverting to the old "9/11 and WMDs" excuse has nothing to do with the current conflict; it's a completely different war and different enemies than it was in 2003. Only the location is the same.

How many people died when Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time" after Hitler invaded Checoslovakia in 1938 one year before WWII started.
Just two years later Hitler invaded France and Poland with tanks made in Checkoslovakia that he took without fighting.
Sure we could have fought WWII starting in 1938 and maybe the world would have been a better place because of it.
We dont know how many Americans might have died IF we did not deal with Iraq.
Sure about 1000 american soldiers die each year in Iraq. BUT if Saddam had developed an atomic bomb and used it he could have killed tens of millions of Americans.
Do the math, even a 1% chance of Saddam having and useing an atomic bomb (or chemical weapons) was way too high, even given the recent situation.
Dont forget Saddam killed over a million of his own people. He was not going to quit because we tried to reason with him.

You speak the truth, but many sheeple of the USA are so used to having their TV do the thinking for them that they refuse to think they are wrong...or that there are hidden agendas in the war, and 9/11, and Bush, and Israel. No one wants to think this is VIETNAM 2. But, it is. Sad, but true. And sadder yet that people think they are 'supporting the troops' by having them die over there for some so-called 'defending of freedom'. Only people that still support this war think it's a good thing, and they are in the minority, luckily.

You are right! There are a lot of ways this is like 'Nam! For instance when we ran from 'Nam 12 Million civilians were slaughtered for supporting us. Running from Iraq will create much the same genocide. Is this what you want? You need to read history not just cherry pick the parts you socialist friends tell you about.

Until we kill most high ranking terrorism leaders like Osama Bin Laden, I'm not sure how many will die but the war on terror will last a long time.

Bush cannot end the war without admitting he was wrong and that is not going to happen. If the US really changes leadership in 2008 then we have a chance of disengaging from Iraq in some kind of order. But I don't see it happening until then.

We lost 10,000 Marines in one day at Belleau Woods, in WW1.
6,821 at IwoJima in less than a month.
Vietnam 58,000 from 1959-1975 ( 16 Years )
Looks to me like we are doing a very good job, with minimal loss of life.

The bigger political question is...
How many Republicans will, out of necessity, renounce Bush's War so they can have an ounce of hope of retaining their political offices after the 2008 election?
