He would if he could. The Iranian people need to do something about that nut-job real fast otherwise they are all going to get hurt. We will not sit by idly and just watch Israel get wiped of the map. A few others will be going along for the ride.

Iran and Israel are enemies on the surface, but they are really sort of allies inside?! The president of Israel is Iranian, yes I know they are replacing him. A yer ago Pres. Ahamadinejad's Gov. hired two top scientist from heart of Tel Aviv to,` come up with a solution immense pollution in Tehran. During Iran- Iraq war, Israel helped Iran on several occasions., And the most important reason is the connection by family relation, which means thousands of Iranian Jews live in Israel and the same with Israel . So my Friends don't take Pres. of Iran too seriously. Best Regards.

You must first realize the brash untrue braggard type statements are often made by leaders in that area. (Saddam claimed he won Desert Storm and the Iran-Iraq war.)

That being said, we have to take the threat seriously and I'm sure that Israel does as well. Personally, I have no doubt that he would implement a plan he believed would achieve it and I also realize that he continues to make such statements regardless of his ability to implement them because it helps keep his popularity up across the mid-east as well as in his own country.

On our side of the pond, we must therefore ask how he would achieve such a thing and what we could do to prevent it or whether we'd be better served letting Israel take care of it.

The most obvious answer to the first question would be through a nuclear war. He could achieve that either through his current nuclear program (over a few years/months?) or through purchase from N. Korea or possibly Pakistan. The latter being less likely unless Iran first supported a radical change of leadership there. That gives them 3 options, all of which are plausible and a threat.

The more likely course is that he will support a renewed terrorist campaign in Israel and that he's drumming up support for it in the Palestinian camp.

I won't get into our options, but you should consider it. Israel is an ally and we shouldn't turn our back, nor chain them to post on their defense.

Israel is a nuclear power, not just one or two bombs. They would retaliate in such a fashion that Iran would no longer exist as well as the United States would have to defend and launch the destruction of Iran.
I hope millions of people would not have to die because of radical and ignorant leadership

Samson defense. If Israel is about to go under, it is not going to let the Arab nations get their hands on its nuclear weapons. It will use what is referred to as the "Samson defense." in which it will pull the enemies "Temple" down as it goes down. Expect ever Arab oil field, refinery, oil shipping port and storage facility to be turned into a radioactive slag heap. Without oil, the Arab nations will quickly go down as they do not have anything else of value to sell to the world. This of course will also take down the rest of the world and thus, a good reason for them to take care of Iran before Iran tries to take out Israel......

My personal thinking, Between NOV 08 and JAN 09, Bush will take out all of Iran's nuclear assets with a B2 full of B61-11s. Publicly the world will condemn Bush, privately they will all breathe a sigh of relief..

Define the word "soon" as used in his context, seems its been said every day since 1948 and the Israelis are still there.

Its typical Ahmadinejad rhetoric to keep the ignorant masses happy, and uncomplaining.

What will he do, they (Iran) have no nuclear capability to launch on Israel and to do so would be suicide for them.

If we witness that, we will witness the destruction of several of its enemies moments later, including Iran.

Look up "the Samson option."
