That's a threat, or ultimatum. You're trying to control him, whether or not you think its for his own good.

Everyone makes their own choices as they are individual people. You can't change them. Don't worry yourself trying.

A threat is something you may or may not carry out as planned. If your serious about leaving him if he doesn't give up the pot,Then by all means leave him!! In a relationship like that,Your not as important to him as his weed. It is no different then if he had another girlfriend and ignored you. You know where his love is! Every time he lights it up.. No object should EVER be put before the love of a good woman, But i think your boyfriends brain may be a little to fried to understand that!! The more the pity.. Find someone who will love you for who YOU are and they can get a natural high just from being with you!! I hope that helped you and i wish you well!!

Actually its a threat and a promise. You don't like it, consider it enough to break up with him for - so follow through - IF, this is how you really feel. There are A LOT of illegal and borderline illegal things people do. Be careful about judging another, but understand too - if something truly bothers you with a significant other, you'd be foolish for NOT airing it.

You don't state how old you are, but I'm guessing in the teens. Pot and booze can be mighty dangerous AND, expensive in breaking our laws of society by doing, and it doesn't strike me this is a tempered occurrence of now and again, but a regular habit? -If the latter, then you may have a serious problem (as he will) if it continues.

It's more of an ultimatum. Still, if he would consider you breaking up with him to be a bad thing, then it could also be a threat.

MY GIRLFRIEND IS SAYING THIS TO ME!!!
IS IT YOU!
ITS NAIEVE OF YOU TO THINK YOU CAN CHANGE HIM, WHY NOT OPEN YOUR MIND A FRACTION OF AN INCH, AND ACCEPT THAT ITS NO MORE HARMFULL THAN DRINKING, AND YOU HAVE JUST BEEN BRAINWASHED BY SCHOOL/MEDIA. GET YOUR OWN MIND, AND UNDERSTAND ONCE EXPOSED TO THE 8000 YEAR OLD TRADITION, WHICH HAS FACILITATED SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC, PEACE TREATIES AND ALSO HAS MADE THE STREETS SAFER (I.E. NO DRUNKEN MOBS) YOU FIND IT HARD TO GO BACK TO A WHITE BREAD, MORTGAGE AND KIDS EXISTENCE.

it is but if you don't want him doing that and you don't want to be with someone that does it then just say it like this i love you but i don't love the fact that you smoke weed and i don't want to be with someone that does so if this is what you want then i am going to have to leave. but if your willing to change then i can stick around and help you with whatever you need.

That is an ultimatum. Was he smoking when you started dating? If not then you have a valid request. If so, suck it up.

It's a threat if you don't really mean it but just want him to stop...it's an ultimatum if you mean it.

yep that's a threat but I can't say I'd blame you. I would do the same thing.
