Copycat Lipton's Onion Soup Mix
4 servings 19 tablespoons, approximately
10 min 10 min prep
3/4 cup instant minced onion
1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
4 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
About 5 tablespoons of mix are equal to 1 1¼-ounce package.
To make onion dip: Mix 5 tablespoons with one pint of sour cream.

Hamburgers Ingredients 1 lb lean ground beef or ground chicken 1 medium onion, peeled 1 medium potato, peeled 2 eggs 1/2-1 cup breadcrumbs or 2-3 slices bread, cut or torn into small pieces (may need more or less) salt and pepper Directions 1 Grate the potato and then the onion in a large bowl. 2 Add 1 of the eggs and mix with spoon or hands (you can add the salt and pepper at this time if you like). 3 Add the beef (or chicken) and the other egg, mix until well blended. 4 Add the breadcrumbs until the mixture sticks together but is not too dry. 5 Remember to add salt and pepper. 6 Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick . 7 You can bbq, fry or broil the burgers for 10-15 minutes. 8 enjoy.

Beef Roast
4-6 servings 6¼ hours 10 min prep
3 1/2-5 lbs rump roast or sirloin tip roast
2 (12 ounce) cans Franco-American beef gravy
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (1 ounce) envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1/2 cup Italian dressing (Wishbone)
carrots (optional)
potatoes (optional)
Mix gravy, mushrooms, soup mix and Italian dressing; pour over beef roast.
Bake covered 1 hour 15 minutes per pound at 300 degrees.
Add carrots and/or potatoes during last hour if desired.
