In addition to her bladder holding problem, at the end of her bladder evacuation a small amount of white discharge comes out. Any ideas?

It's not unusual for female dogs to become incontinent when they're older.

You need to go to the vet - if it's just incontinence through age there is a medicine available that works wonders, it tightens the urinary sphincter. However, the white discharge could well be pus, which indicates a urinary infection. If the dog is not spayed I would be very concerned about where that pus is coming from.

A vet visit is needed!

She may have a bladder infection. Get her checked out at the vet to be sure--he or she can prescribe antibiotics to clear it up. Also, at her age, have the vet check her for diabetes. Two of the classic symptoms would be if she is drinking excess water and not being able to hold her bladder.

Sounds like she has an infection. I would make an appointment with the vet. It could just be age, but the discharge says otherwise.

This could be a serious problem. I had a smiliar case with my female dog and it turned out that she had a massive infection inside her that had burst, there was nothing they could do at this point which resulted in her getting put to sleep. The best advice would be to take her to the vet.

She most likely has an infection as mentioned above. She could also have bladder or kidney stones. Please take the dog to a vet and have him access the problem.

Sounds like a bladder infection, or urinary tract infection. She will need meds from the vet to fix it.

Bladder infection would be my guess. Call your vet.

She's not that old. Sounds like an infection. Please make her an appointment with the vet. Even if it IS that she has become incontinent, there is medication available that helps a lot.
