Get out the calculator, my dear. In order to MAINTAIN your weight, you'd eat your weight X 15. So if you weigh 200 pounds, you'd maintain by eating 3000 calories a day, assuming you did a normal amount of exercise. Now, there are 3500 calories in a pound. This is where the calculator comes in to play. You seem to have the other stuff down pat. No sugar, no fried food, lots of water, and a brisk walk every day, working gradually up to 30 minutes or way longer. Just make sure you can carry on a conversation, or you're overdoing it. Swimming, treadmill, bike are all great exercises. And the correct way to weigh yourself, is in the morning, after you go to the bathroom, before you eat or drink anything, naked. That's your true weight. Good luck, my friend.

Usually you want 15 calories per pound to maintain weight, but reducing it to 12-13 might have some temporary effect. To lose weight, you need to use more energy than you consume.

it takes two to three times longer to lose excess weight as it did to gain it, the regimen you describe will drop the weight but it will take longer than six weeks, and should. When you lose weight too quickly, you just get it right back with additional weight as you begin to consume your normal intake again.

It would really depend on your body size, (BMI - body mass index), what other things you ate and so on. Remember, if you lose weight THAT fast, most of it will a) be water and b) will come back, and probably then some!

Note: 3500 calories equates to 1 pound.

Be stupid? Yes. Too much water, (you can actually drink too much) and no weights? Believe it or not, you body will need carbs to burn fat, or else you burn muscle without lossing fat.
