camera stuck!!! please help?!!!?

my camera is stuck and every time i turn it on, it says "access" and "turn camera on and off", then i did it but it wouldnt work...its stuck....please help....oh and its a sony camera..PLEASE!!!help

Have you tried taking the battery and putting it back in? Have you looked in the owner's manual?

something is jamming the mechanism - a bit of grit or the like - look with a torch
