I know Jesus is God, and He was completely God on earth. But He was also completely a human. So while He was on earth, did he remember everything that happened in His life from birth on? I'm just as to how he experienced the world. I know he was emptied of His glory while on earth, and now has that glory in Heaven with the Father.

I'm sure he would have remembered things starting around 3 or 4, as most do. I believe then His memory was then perfect. I have never read in the Bible of people reminding Jesus of anything, or reading that He forgot.

Hello,

That is a question that has different opinions. I asked theologians, ministers and priests over the years. Some say he had infinite knowledge and if I went back in a time machine and met him he would know who I was, though speaking Greek and Aramic he'd probably be able to address me in modern English and tell me exactly how I stood in the eyes of the father...then again he might say nothing to me since I'd be putting him as God the son to the test which is a no no. He would know the future and the past and who Kennedy's assassin would be and 911 as well.

The other school of thought is that Jesus was a far more earthly human than we think and his connection to God was revealed slowly and step by step. The only hint of this scenario was his moment of doubt and pain on the cross where he is suffering and dying slowly and he asks " Father, why have you forsaken me?" when he might have been expecting a legion of angels to come to the rescue. Furthermor when one of his apostles asked when the end of the world would be, Jesus said he as the son of God on earth did not even know the time - only the father in heaven.

Apparently Clovis, one of the great babrarian Kings who was around and converted after the fall of Rome once pointed out that if Jesus had great magical powers and knew he was part of God 100% then he had a big unfair advantage over him and each of us since he saw God, knew God in reality and had a command of exactly where he was going whereas each of us throughout the last 2000 years have to go only on mythical type stories and blind faith as well as third hand information yet have the same steadfastness as Jesus.

Based on the idea that God sent Jesus to teach us and Jesus would not ask his followers to do anything he could not do himself, I tend to go for the second idea that Jesus was far more human than anyone thought and on Earth he too struggled with faith and tough situations that we all do as well.
Through God he was given some powers like healing, the water into wine, loaves and fishes, curing the lepers and the blind but on earth it is more likely that he did not have the memory power to see his life since and before his birth.

Regards,

Michael Kelly

I'd say yes, if he was in fact the son of God, he could definitely use all of our human skills to their greatest potential.
