Okay, everybody has its right to believe in a higher creature, be that what it is. But I can't understand why christians doubt the evolution theory. Why would someone ignore all the science, and support a theory based on a book, written 2000 years ago?

Their entire faith is based on man being created perfect and sinning, thereby needing redemption

If man evolved, he wasn't perfect, didn't sin and doesn't need redemption

Creation science uses the exact same scientific facts that the evolutionists use; the only difference is that they provide an alternative interpretation of those facts. Two people can look at the same thing and come away with totally opposite conclusions of how it was formed. The Creationist interpretation of facts is in harmony with the story of creation in the Bible, a book which claims to be Truth. So I think it's very important to take a closer look and see for yourself if the interpretation is scientifically accurate. I was an atheist and an evolutionist for 20 years, and after studying both points of view, I believe Creationism is actually the more logical and scientific of the two.

There are many Christians who accept that something like evolution is how God created the world. We have no problem with the idea that God may have taken a couple of billion years to create the earth as we know it. What we object to is the idea that all of this beautiful, intricate, and breathtaking variety was the result of random molecular interactions. You don't have to be a physics major to realize that random interactions could only produce chaos. A thousand monkies typing for a thousand years would not produce the works of Shakespeare, but a never ending stream of gibberish.

Some arguments for evolution is that if you give it enough time anything could happen. But unbeknownst to most, evolution doesn't have enough time. Billions or trillions of years is not even close to how much time would be needed. Rick Ramashing and Sir Fred Hoyle calculated the probability for one cell to evolve by chance. The atheist/agnostic team found to their disbelief that it is 1 chance in 10 to the 40,000th power years just for one cell to evolve. Hoyle said, "The chance that higher life forms might have emerged in this way is comparable with the chance that 'a tornado sweeping through a junk-yard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein.' " Does evolution have enough time? No.

for starters, both creation and evolution are theories. to move past the point of theory science dictates that the theory must be reproducable in a controlled environment which is not possible in either case. therefore both are based on faith. I personally find it far harder to believe that everything in the universe came from nothing than to believe in intelligent design. and if you refuse to believe creation because its based on a book written 2000 years ago that's way less difficult to accept than believing something that supposedly took place millions to billions of years ago.

Because the evolution theory is totally against their belief that human is created by God in the first 7 days of where the earth was created. It's almost impossible for them to believe that we are evolved from a gorilla! Other than that, science in other aspects are acceptable to most Christian.

Correction - based on one's personal interpretations of a book. All Christians read the same book, but most Christians don't feel the need to reject the clear evidence of science.

both theories are supported by none onter than other theories themselves. because macroevolution takes millions of years, it's basically impossible to observe, erego, it cannot be proven.

other theories that 'support' evolution include abiogenesis, and that a loss in genetic material could potentially create a new genetic strand. however, as these have never been recorded happening, they're just weak theories.

understand now?

Science - by human beings...which I don't ignore but I believe the Bible...Wisdom and knowledge are limited for humans..God is much more bigger than us - He is our creator (we can't use our knowledge/wisdom to make comparison) He gives us that knowlege/wisdom/talent! ...how can we compare with the Bible...It's all about faith! Human tends to see, then believe. For Christians, we believe first then we see! It's different ; ) Could we believe that we are actually monkeys???

I don't about having the right to believe in a 'higher creature' but anyone who does should have no right to talk about science.

don't for get the authors of the book were tripping on poppy seeds! heck they didn't know any better and it's more logical then some of the stuff they wrote about!
but anyway!
but to combate with you science books where written when?

so even thought they have concrete facts someone who needs a faith to live life they tend to over look stuff like Facts...
and go with what they think god told them!
i just can't get over why christians and other relgiions just are too busy recuriting humans and starting fights that they forget the true meaning...
wonder if they study other humans history!
