We've already seen people in the Middle East kill themselves for their religion. It seems to me that Christians here are ready to die and kill for their faith. Doesn't this seem like a volatile issue that needs to be addressed now, rather than when it's too late?

It seems that you think it is a volatile issue.. We are already in a Holy War.. Islamic terrorists are wanting to destroy the USA because they believe that we are "the great satan" I will not get into the issue of which Islamic groups ect..
The terrorists believe that they are doing this for Allah and they keep it up.. Just like the new plot to blow up JFK airport..
They will keep at it until they finally succeed, we can't always catch them before hand..

Christians have been dying for their faith since the Roman emperors started throwing them to lions in the 1st century.
There has never been a peaceful time for them. Just yesterday the Islamics killed 4 Chaldean Catholic priest/deacons and wired their car with a bomb so nobody could get the to the bodies until the bomb squad arrived.
Ah Islamics are such a quiet lot of lunatics!

Yeah, I'd say terrified describes my fear that Christian fundamentalists will gain even more power in the US government. Imagine the Taliban with access to nuclear weapons and ICBMs! If human civilization is to survive the plague of Abrahamic fundamentalism, those who can actually reason must oppose those who merely believe at every possible opportunity. Humanity's real future is far more important than pleasing the imaginary God of our ancient ancestors.

Somewhat but I don't mind looking forward to the paradise Father God has promised me but I feel let it be it there is a holy war then that is meant to happen in my opinion we've been in a holy war since man as people worship material possessions are against God and don't believe in him and I think each religion is trying to take over I I am non denominational so I believe spirituality is more important!

Yeah. Were can the rational people hide out? Why is it always the cold countries that get it right? All the rational countries - Iceland, Switzerland, Canada, Norway - freezing. Must be something about the warm weather that makes people nuts.

Jesus tells us to love God, love others & even love our enemies. There isn't one verse where Jesus tells me, as a Christian, to kill others.

But, Jesus does promise that Christians will be persecuted for Christ Righteousness sake. Jesus told us to be really glad for this, because Jesus gives us great rewards. So, if someone persecutes you just because you are born of God and made the righteousness of Christ, be glad. God promises to give you a great reward. I know I have some special rewards on award day.

This war has already started. It is Islamic Jihadist against all unbelievers, including US. It just became more apparent when the World Trade Center was attacked the first time.

If we can get Bush out of office ASAP and keep those out with his ideology, I'll rest easy. Otherwise, look out, be prepared to thow out the Constitution, checks and balances, and diplomacy. And run for cover or bomb shelter.
