Usually it's free where you got it. I'd also suggest you get it appraised if you haven't already, for insurance.
Also my dentist cleans my diamonds when I go in for cleanings. They put it in an ultrasonic cleaner.

I get mine done for free at the jewelry store in the mall. Everytime I go they clean it and buff it for free as part of getting people in the door. They spend the time I'm waiting trying to sell me a new piece of jewelry but I'm immune and I like to at least look at the sparklies anyway. I guess they hope that when it is time to buy jewelry I'll remember how awesome they were and I'll go there. ;)

I just take mine to the local jewelry store and they do it on the spot. For free. Even though we didn't buy it there. (It's an heirloom) They just hope you get interested in buying something while they're cleaning and you're browsing.

take it to a jeweler they will do it for free, be careful, they may say some ting is wrong with it to get you to spend $$
