Why wave? Waving was originally started by a group of British Sports Car drivers who were usually five minutes from a breakdown. The wave signaled "I am OK now but pull over when you see me parked". Then the damn accountants and attorneys that drove the Harley prices up, started doing it while riding their $25,000.00 bikes. It meant " I am so damn cool it hurts". Don't wave, it makes you look like an idiot!

Yes you should wave,it is a Jeep Wrangler.Jeephandler needs to recheck his specs, the 4 door Wrangler can be equiped to tow 3500 lbs and the 2 door can tow 2000 when equiped properly go to www.jeep.com for the specs. The 4 door would be a lot better for towing with the longer wheelbase,I have towed a pop-up camper with my 2001 Wrangler and the camper had a lot of sway due to the short wheelbase. Also the 3.8 is not that bad of an engine,I drive them at work and I think they have plenty of power. The new Jeep Wrangler is the #1 selling vehicle in the US right now so someone likes them.We are getting 2000 orders per day and there is a 2 month wait if you order one.

All Jeep Wrangler owners are part of the same community, and everyone should wave. There's a guy in our town with a old 2WD postal model, and I wave to him every time I see him, (and he waves back). The 4 doors are no different. We're all Jeep Wrangler/CJ enthusiasts and it shouldn't matter whether it's an old 2WD CJ-3A or '07 2WD 4 door wrangler.

The 4-doors are a completely different market than the 2-doors. If you drive a 4x4 Rubicon and you use it for it's true purpose, why would you wave at a middle-aged mother of three with a 4x2 X model? Not all Jeep drivers now are in the same "community"

I think that the jeep wave should be saved for people that are driving a real jeep, not the new soccer mom 4 door minivan type jeeps, those new 4 door jeeps aren't a jeep to me. I wave to drivers of jeeps up until about 2000, after that year they're no longer a jeep to me, their just a really expensive soccer mom car with 4WD that they don't even know how to use.

Jeep There is only One. We all have been through the changes throughout the years. From the CJ to the YJ to have this very Question asked in 87. Then to Real Jeeps have round headlights. Right. Well This is our Family. Jeep! So ask yourself. Are you an outcast of the Family. So I SAY Waive and welcome our new members to the Family

Ok, here is a deal, if it's a stock or lightly modified jeep to a stock or lightly modified jeep, wave is ok.
If it's a heavily modified jeep whit a Pirate4X4 sticker on it all you're gonna get is a double flip off...

I agree with JARED P. These new jeeps are Urban Crusers they are a new MINI VAN,SUV,STATION WAGON FOR SOCCER MOMS! They put a piece of crap 3.8 in a Jeep where is the torque, Yea it has a little power but a 4.0 can pull about 3000lbs and the new 3.8 only can pull1500lbs. Don't even get me started on the body. That all I want to say right now but go ask your Jeep Dealer on the specs on the 3.8 VS the 4.0 and if they are honest they will tell you the same thing.
