You all know more about that stuff than I do, I feel like a big time Rookie when it comes to that stuff.

That's so sad, but I'm afraid it won't have much effect, Michie. When he turned over control to Brian he pretty much just sat on the sidelines. His health has been failing for quite some time now. Unfortunately, Brian isn't the true race fan his father was. He's all about revenue. I'll direct you to a site where you can learn what's really going on with Nascar when we talk.

I heard them mention his passing during the race. So sad. It was he who was responsible for bringing the original major sponsor of the Cup Series, RJR, to the sport. And Bill was also responsible for bringing in all the networks to televise the races.
R.I.P. Mr France Jr.

RIP Mr. France. Brain France might leave some to be desired, but Bill did a LOT for the sport!

I don't think so. Though he did a lot for the sport. This will add an interesting twist to things for a while.
Let's right now just remember the France Family.

Long term, probably not. What is significant is what he has done to make NASCAR what it is today. He brought NASCAR to tv and brought in RJ Reynold (Winston) to the sport.

It might. Times change as we all get older. Nascar will mourn his passing like they do with all of their extended family.
