Call and visit with your vet. If the Benadryl shot worked for her, then administering Benadryl at home to help ease her itching may be just fine. Visit with your vet to be sure, but the dose for your beagle would be 1/2 to 1 regular strength tablet every 12 hours. You want to help her itching, but not give her so much she gets drowsy. Also bear in mind that some pets will become hyperactive on benadryl, so use caution. Use the benadryl only when necessary for her comfort. Itching due to plants/pollen in her environment will probably go in two - three week cycles. If her itching is constant or gets worse, consider other sources such as cleaners used in your home, a different food, laundry detergent, etc.

Definitely sounds like she has seasonal allergies. You can give benedryl to your dog. I work in a vet hospital however I cannot recall the dose. It is different in people than in dogs. You should be able to call your vet and get a dosage. Also there are other things to try. Usually dogs get itchy all over when they have allergies. If she only chews on her paws it may be an indication of a contact allergy. Try washing her paws of with a rag when she comes inside. Keep a close eye on her paws because they can become infected when they chew too much. If this happens she will need to see her vet.

I have heard of giving dogs regular Benedryl and working. Much cheaper too. If you go to the link I have given you below, these people will get back to within a few days. Ask your question there. They helped me determine that my hamster had a kidney stone. It's free of charge and I haven't found them wrong yet! Good luck =)

Well it relies on how so much he ate, motive puppies can get in poor health if they have got give up slightly of chocolate. Chocolate isn't well at serious about puppies. Another factor is to simply preserve a watch on him. If you believe the desire, then name the vet.

Please do give your vet a call and ask what dose rate is correct. The vet has seen your dog before, they will be best to advise you.

Most vets say you can, but I'd call your vet to assure that it would be alright for your dog. They will know if they have treated the dog prior to this instance.
