So I just went through the Taco Bell drive through, and the gal at the second window was a bit large, maybe 250lbs. When she turned to get my drink, I noticed that her pants were falling down a bit in the back, and the tight fitting shirt was riding up... which revealed several inches of what really looked like white cotton undies with Spongebob Squarepants all over them. Was I wrong to be a little put off by this?

My apologies to everyone who thought the issue here was her being overweight. I was just trying to describe the situation in its entirety. I'm NOT offended by overweight people (I'm out of shape myself, that would be hypocritical). For those of you who were so quick to judge, re-read the wording of my question.

Not at all. She needed Morepants, rather than Squarepants.

No. I am of the opinion that it is ok to be over weight and that isn't the exception here. It is about decorum. I don't want to see anyone else's underwear outside the privacy of my home - and then by exclusive invitation only.

This includes Brittany Spears, George Clooney and any other person. There is a time and a place for everything and though I don't want to go back to victorian era sensibilities - but could someone put a Tube top on that Pamela Anderson?

Gypsy Rose Lee, one of the sexiest women in the world said it isn't what you take off, it's how you take it off. Less is not more.

To your fast food nemisis defense - if she was working a drive through at least the top of her uniform was provided by the company, and they often don't offer clothing bigger then a large. If you were truely offended by this, you should send them a letter telling them you find it disgusting to see people's flesh peeking at you out of undersized uniforms, and maybe they should invest in providing uniforms with a few XXXX's in the labels.

Finally, if you're simply offended by fat people - well, then yes, you are wrong. Your petty and vain. I know a lot of fat people - was a fat people myself for a long time and they are people just like everyone else.

I would call the toll free Taco Bell number and complain. Obviously, the individual store management doesn't care because - if they saw what you saw - they should have sent her home.

I am sure Taco Bell corporate will want to know all about it.

I may never be able to look at poor SpongeBob in the same way again.

Cindy H took the words right out of my mouth! If you were offended because she was overweight with some "more" hanging out, that's just being petty. However, that being said, I think I would've been put off if she was a smaller girl too. There's no need to show off any more than what's required. Fast food restaurants are especially important for looking proper.. after all, they're dealing with your food!

Hasn't everyone had to deal with an "ill" fitting uniform? Let's face it, I'm sure she didn't select those pants herself....and come on ladies we all know that one brand does not fit all. I think Old Navy jeans fit better than Levi's. Taco Bell made her wear those, even if they aren't the most flattering. I'm sure you've never had a moment out in public where your jeans didn't slide down a little when you bent over or have a bra peek out of a low cut shirt...etc.

Fashion faux pas happen, it happens to all of us, we pull, we tug we adjust and move on.
Get over yourself and quit being such a diva.

If you go through what I have to put up with on a daily basis, (ugly mean neighbor and cheap boss) this is the last thing that would put you off. But you do have a right to be disgusted. Don't they have big disgusting rats at Taco Bell??

If this is the worst thing that happens to you in a day, you're lucky. You had a problem because she was fat, not because you could see her underwear.
You'd have been panting and horny if it had been some slim teen age boy.
Grow up, get over it, not everyone can be as perfect as you (think you are).

**You're not offended by her weight??? What part of this "maybe 250lbs....and the tight fitting shirt was riding up... which revealed several inches of what really looked like"
Tight fitting was YOUR choice of words, not mine.
SO WHAT! You saw someone's panties! You don't wear'em yourself? Are you offended by men walking down the street with no shirt on? She didn't SIT on your food, she didn't wipe your food on her panties...
What is your big problem? Aside from the fact that some fat chick had undies on and you saw them? Frankly, I rather see panties than a.ss crack.
Do you lose your appetite when you see shirtless men? Or boys with their boxers showing???
Grow up.

i dont think you were wrong. we all try to go to work in respectable attire. its part of being professional. regardless where you work. no one wants to see anyone in that state of affairs. i feel bad for the lady working there, though she had to of known or someone she works with should have told her so that she could do fix herself. but cant say i wouldnt have been put off as well. i got some pictures developed while i was out a few weeks ago and the lady behind the counter was dressed as if she was going to a night club that evening, with boots laced up to her nees and a shirt that showed too much, i would have been embarresed if i were here, but aparently people dont care how they look at work anymore.

I probably would have been put off, too; people are supposed to maintain some level of appearing neat while in public, and especially at the work-place! No one wants to see anyone's underpants, no matter how big or small the person is; especially when they are ordering food!!
