The dog will rip the bandage off in 2 seconds. Get the dog to the vets for a assessment on the cut pad. He can better tell if it needs stitches or just a really good cleaning and tell you how to clean it at home.
These pad cuts can become infected if just left untreated. It can become very painful for your dog.

Like others have said, your best bet would be to start with your vet. Depending on the cut, it may need stitches. Even if the cut doesn't require stitches, your vet can make sure that the cut is properly irrigated, so there's nothing left behind that can irritate the cut or cause infection....

Bass pro shops and Petsmart sells pad cream. I would rub this on and try to keep the pad wrapped and dry to prevent infection. If it gets infected, go to the vet! Hope this helps!

Ow!

Try to keep it clean. You might want to just let the dog take care of it.

But if it's deep, take the dog to the vet for stitching and perhaps antibiotics.

Good luck!
