I know just clean it. But as a teen, cleaning is the most boring thing ever! My mom has been telling me for 2 weeks to clean it. This time I actually have to do it though. I start cleaning, but then I start making excuses: eating, I need to go get something downstairs, I need to check somthing on the computer, ect. I am trying to find a easy, fun way to clean my room. When I was little, I couldn't stand my room being a mess, but now... it is not the same case.
Please don't tell me to just clean my room. Please give me advise to make it go quicker or be fun.
(I also have to clean my closet too.)

Put some music on and open the windows. Bring in a large trash bag with you. Put everything you have not used or need for years in this, along with any accumulated garbage, notes, etc. Also, all clothes which are no good, out grown stained and torn go in the garbage.

Next. Pick everything up, everything has a place, make a spot for everything. Next dust every spot you can, pick up items and dust under them and put the back down. Then vacuum the floors and and cob webs on the walls.

For your closet, open it up. Dispose of all clothes you will not wear. Good ones give to charity, others put in the garbage bag. Hang all your clothes up and put all the shirts together, skirts, pants, etc. If you want to impress mom put all the hangers in the same direction. Arrange your clothes as you would wear them, the ones you wear most go forward, the ones less used go in the back. Put a nail in the wall in the closet or on a board if you have one. Hang all you purses, hair clips etc. on them. After you did this...ask mom to take you to target or walmart and buy a shoe holder. There are ones for the floor and ones you hang on the clothes bar in your closet. Pair your shoes together.

Got it? I am doing this myself, taking a break as we speak. I allowed myself to fall behind a while back & now I have to organize & clean!

Hello! Its not very easy to do...but get a garbage can and put all the 'random peices of ....crap' in it, also anything that you don't use anymore. Donate what is not your style including clothing and books. Somewhere, someone will be able to use these things of yours. Remember, these things can be bought when you move to your new place. And as you grow up, your style will change. Only keep the things you cannot replace like Photos, awards, mementos. You will feel lighter after this too. I've had to move about 8 times and this is what I have done. Boxes? Line the wall with them. Use them as furniture. Put two at your bedside and stick a lamp and radio on it. If you can, put some under your bed. Put a box or two of even sizes on the floor, cover with a cloth/curtain and you have an instant table. Good luck

It is hard to clean up a room when you have too little space and too many things. Grab two giant (clean) trash bags. Label one KEEP and one DONATE. Think of all the kids who have nothing. Put all the stuff that you don't really use and you don't really need into the DONATE bag and have your mom donate it. That way you'll be giving another kid some cool stuff- and you won't have so much stuff to keep organized anyway- so it will make it easier to keep it clean for next time. Put all the KEEP items in the keep bag. Then you can go through the keep bag and put that stuff away.
And the person above me was right to say crank up the music- that will make it more fun to do!!

Just take it one step at a time. Set a goal of cleaning just the closet today. Then tomorrow, under the bed, then the main part of the floor, etc. until you accomplish your task. If your room is that messy, just saying to clean it up doesn't work. Do it step by step. By the way, when you're cleaning your closet, if there's stuff in there that you haven't worn, give it away as a donation.

Use the idea of, keep and donate. Make piles of clothes that you are keeping, and clothes that you would like to donate (don't fit or haven't worn in six months). Then move on to electronics toys and such. You will have two huge piles. Then you just have to fold the clothes and find places for all the other things. Target sells plastic totes and cute racks that have baskets in them, so you can keep all of your things separate. Take breaks. After you sort clothes get a snack then do the same before you start putting everything back. Music you like is always helpful too!

Turn on the music, whatever gets you moving. You're a teenage girl so start with the worst chore, your clothes. Dirty in the hamper, clean in the dresser or closet. with that gon you can now see what's left. pick up any trash laying around. straighten anything left in sight (perfume bottles, makeup, hair supplies) Lastly make your bed. Before you know it your're done.

We use the pile method. Sweep, yes use the broom even if you have carpet, everything in your room that is on the floor into one pile. The room looks half done already and is a real pick me up. From there it is easy. All clothing tossed into laundry basket, trash tossed into garbage basket. Trinkets put away on, in dressers. Shoes back in closet. Blankets back on bed.

Quick and painless.

When I was a kid, we didn't get rewarded for cleaning our rooms. We just got the fortune of continuing to live under a roof with food on the table!

i would say throw most of it in the closet, but since you have to clean that too, that option isn't available now...the best thing to do is just put things in a bag or under your bed, or just actually clean it haha...(i also have the same problem)

I would say to pretend that you were in your own house and that you had company coming over for the first time to see it. Of course you would want them to see it all neat so you can be proud of it and show them how good you are on your own. Having my own house has helped tremendously because I always want it neat just in case somebody comes over unexpectedly. Also, turning music on really really helps me to clean. Sing and dance while the music is on and time will fly by.
Hope I helped!
