yes i would like to know if I took a bus from new york to the state of connecticut .is hartford CT far in the state of connecticut. is it the closet city to newyork ? please help

To get from NY it'll take you a little over 2 hrs to get there. If you are on bus and you are leaving Port Authority and it is a Greyhound bus it can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hrs to get to the bus depot in Downtown Hartford, CT.
The closest city to NY in Connecticut would be Greenwich which is below Stamford.
Hartford is almost centrally located in the state.

Hartford is about 117.08 miles from NY city. You didn't specify what city in NY so I went with that one. Driving there would take about 2 hours, 19 minutes , but if traveling by bus it could take longer depending on if the bus needs to stop and the speed it is going. Hope this helps. There are quite a few other big cities in CT along the way to Hartford, so if you are just wanting to get into the state you could also pick one of those.
