Yes, you can use vegetable oil in place of corn oil. Corn oil is, in fact, a vegetable oil, but a product labeled as Vegetable Oil probably contains a blend of a few different oils, such as soybean, safflower, peanut, etc. Any and all of them will work fine.
Olive oil will work, too, although it's got a fairly pronounced flavor, which might become evident in the brownies. Whether you like it or not is up to you.

It shouldn't make a significant difference in brownies. The main difference between vegetable oils is the temperature at which they begin to smoke (start to break down from the heat). You shouldn't have anything to worry about in a 350 degree oven.

corn oil IS vegetable oil. It's just specifically all from corn. When you see vegetable oil in the store that's called "vegetable oil", it is likely a combination of a variety of vegetable oils...

You can use any oil except for Motor Oil for brownies. Canola oil is pretty healthy, but if you'remaking brownies, I'm sure its not cause your tying to cook healthy!
Seriously, you can use vegetable oil.

corn oil is vegetable oil.
they call vet oil veg oil cause they use a variety of vegies to make the oil. corn oil is just corn.
but if you are making sweets it is best to use reall butter. the taste is so much better. just measure the same as veg oil.
