You forget that we are living in a fallen world. Many people because of their fallen nature, pervert the natural desires for the unnatural.
It is not sinful to have sex. God created it for our enjoyment AND for procreation. But it is also to be within the context of marriage. There is nothing (except for adultery) prohibited in the marriage bed.
As to the altering of our minds, why would you take your mind and then chemically change it? It's hard enough to deal with reality. Why make it worse by changing it to fantasy? Whatever problems people try to avoid through getting high, are still there when they come off of it.
God has given us a life-guide through the Bible. It is not because He doesn't want us to enjoy life, but because He knows that when we pervert His creation, we bring harm to ourselves.
Drug use brings addictions and avoidance of responsibility. Promiscuity brings STD's and pregnancy, other bad practices cause all sorts of other problems. If we lived by the Bible, we would have less of these problems.

Very clearly there are 2 things called good and evil in the world that we are capable of choosing. No God given instinct ought not lead to sin unless you let it.
Not all Christians teach that. That is a very old school teaching. I and many other believers recognize that sex was made to be pleasurable and we were meant to enjoy our wives bodies. If you read the Songs of Solomon youll see how we ought to feel towards our wives.
The problem with drugs is they are harmful, do permenant damage, are against the law, and serve no good godly purpose. I would argue not all people have the desire do drugs and alter their conciousness, only some have a sinful desire to do so.

Sex is awesome. You are right about that...But just because it feels good, does not mean you should do it. God made us with ability to feel pleasure. And He also gave us free will. His laws are clear. Sex before marriage is a sin. It may feel amazing, but it is still sin. Masturbation has been discussed on here a lot...I don't know if masturbation in and of itself is sin. But what are you thinking about while doing it? You are lusting. Lust is sin. As for spinning...I think you are alright there. God gave us the ability to chose to follow Him or not to. The flesh is weak. It wants what is pleasurable. But I promise the rewards for abstain from such sin will be so much better....an eternity in Heaven. God bless you.

God doesn't have to turn sexual pleasure on and off to stop you from sinning. Neither does He have to argue the issue of sin with you. it is His will that shall be done on Earth, not yours. Understand that human beings are not instinctive like animals are. Furthermore, our natural behavior is sinful, whether it's used in moderation or not. Man wants to justify his sinful behavior by questioning God. It won't work. You were born with a free will. If you choose to sin against God, that's your choice.

God made us perfect, and that included our free will. When Adam and Eve chose to sin, they kind of cursed the rest of us. We are now all born into the sinful nature. IE our nature is sinful. The things that we would naturally do are often sinful things. You've probably heard it said that you don't have to teach a child to be bad, but you do have to teach them to be good.
Sin often feels good, at least in the moment, but it always carries a consequence, now or down the road. A teenage couple can have sex and enjoy it, but when the pregnancy test comes back positive, they begin to realize they are going to face huge consequences now. Sin is fun, that is why it is a temptation. Our job is to resist temptation, acknowledging the benefits of doing so.
The whole purpose of the law is to show us our sinful state. It shows us that in and of ourselves, we are incapable of living up to God's standard. Thus, the reason that Jesus came and died in our place. He can now be the filter through which God looks on us and we are seen as perfect. Sin is only a way to show us that we need Jesus.

All of the things you have described are most definately god given instincts...it has been taught to me that when we use these things to manipulate and control others is when it considered unhealthy.....
And who cares what the christians argue about!? When it comes down to it, they are just mere humans with the same sex drives, temptations and desires...they have control issues, abuse issues....only thing different is that they chose to keep all their s*it bottled up and pretend that those feelings dont exist.
They are the ones who will have to answer to their own Gods and or Demons...either real or imagined.
Bless them All!
Blessed Be

God made mankind in the image of himself. This is physical and spiritual.
The story of "Adam & Eve" tells us of God's perfect world without "Knowledge of Good & Evil." So, they were kinda brainless. When they ate from this fruit, they sacrificed eating from the "Tree of Eternity" to receive the "Fruit of good and evil." This is God's way of letting them "Grow-up". They were kinda like "Avatars" ... or puppets. So, the "Fruit of good & evil" is human's evolution (both physically & spiritually) to mature from being animals / beasts into Divine creatures made in God's image (physically & spiritually). It is mankinds quest to take knowledge and convert this to wisdom.
Some people may be able to read that touching a hot coal will cause burns, and thus stay away ... while others may feel the need to experience this pain before they accept the past knowledge shared by people who came before them. Even after experiencing it once, they still might not get that it hurts to touch hot coals. Proverbs refers such people as wise, or fools.

All things in moderation.
I don't think altering your consciousness is forbidden by the Bible. And the deal with sex is that Adam and Eve fell from grace in the Garden, leading their descendants to engage in ungodly behavior. It came from eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

We belong to the Animal kingdom, Jesus was create just lest perfect than angels, We Human beings aren't angels, although we have God gift of Intelligence, which we can use to separate our self's from The Animals and become Humans and lead Humanity. Of Course Jesus, wasn't a sinner, why?, because his own angel like Self, will not allow him to commit sin, a/o because what ever he did, was sinless, to HIM(God), and that is a Fact.
which mean we can't as Humans compared our self, What you call "instinctual", isn't what defines behavior, but the instinct of a person, peoples or individual, or instinctual's?, I Assumed will change with the degree of intelligence that Peoples, Individuals, persons, may have, or have grown expand and acquired, from the initial gift of Intelligence God gave us, which(Gift), make our self's all equal. Equal, but not the Same, because all of us, aren't as fast to learn or quick learners, as others.
You can find, such instinctual,(that no more than Instincts), to be more develop in some animals like in the case of Penguins, Sparrows, and many others, to define mainly certain specifics characteristics of their behaviors?, or of the requirements, they need to show as instincs, because of their own environment?. If everything is good, which God create, then it will be up to us, to say when there is to much of a good thing, before we can realize, that we need to stop, its practice not to make such practice pernitious for our own existence? Then we can concider as we grow into intelligent being, the posibilities that, our act's as Kid's, where of not negatives concequences, for God. But of the responsibilities of our parents, to show, or care for our self's, not to push our behivior, to become necessarily, a bad thing?.
Bad and good, is pass from parents, too, future parents, to parents and parents too. and so for?. The monitoring of our behavior should begin and it supos to beguin, as we grow out of our mothers womb, right after, or after out mother count the fingers of our hands and our toes, then I will feel safe to that, creation or creativity, can be consider also and "instinctual", part of our Human behavior?. But only, after we have learn the right use of our 5 senses, os we can achieved the use, and manage, the powers of our own Reason. Don't you think. .

We have to fight temptation every day. What about addicts and alcoholics. Drinking and druging feels good to them but it could result in many dangerous things. Most drug addicts & alcoholics aren't looking for a new perspective for a little while. It usually ends up in a lifetime of struggle. I know, as I have been addicted to drugs before. Premarital sex and many partners could lead to STD or AIDS. God asks us to wait until we are married. Those are His rules. You spin to fast you could screw up your equilibrium (vertigo) or fall down and hurt yourself. It seems that "what feels good" is often dangerous for us and that is why God laid down some ground rules. I do know what you are trying to say but I just don't agree with the "If it feels good, do it" concept.
