You might hav eczema. It's a non contagious skin condition that causes rashes. Or you might have a staph infection on the skin. Either way book an appointment with your dermatologist RIGHT NOW! This stuff is very important and you need to find out exactly what it is before the condtion gets out of hand.

Assuming you don’t have other symptoms, you didn’t mention any rash or other conditions…consider first…irritation from artificial fragrances in soaps or moisturizers (or irritation from natural products, some aroma oils cause reactions, tea tree being one of the worst), read the labels and replace them with something more skin-friendly...see if the condition improves...second, frequent showers can dry skin so can antibacterial soaps and your skin may be naturally dry, a condition that increases with age (you don’t mention where you live, some areas are dryer that others). Try light natural moisturizers (if you are young, something more emollient if mature), gradually increase the amount or try heavier moisturizers if that does not help. Use moisturizers designed for the face on your face and neck. Body moisturizers can clog facial skin. Avoid anything greasy or heavy, they can clog pores and you’d go from itch to bumps.
You also didn't say if the itchy skin is under clothing, detergents and detergents not properly rinsed out of clothing can cause irritations.
Sometimes “itchiness” is a tension response, the way some people pick at their skin, scratch or pull at their hair. If your experiments don’t work consider seeing a very smart GP or a dermatologist.

if you have extremely itchy skin you very likely have a food or other allergy. Ecxema is directly related to allergies and will clear up if you remove the offending allergy. You may be allergic to a specific food or something that you are using to wash or lotion with. Take a bath or shower and do not use our normal soap or wash as that might be what is causing such a reaction. When you are done, while you are still damp put a light coat of oil ( I usually use olive oil with a little almond oil and/ or aloe vera in it) all over your skin to help keep the moisture in. Then you will want to keep a food diary and pay attention to what you put on your skin, or get allergy tested to find out what you might need to stop eating or using.

most skin irritations like the one you describe are a result of bathing or showering too often. Everytime you immerse yourself in water, you leach moisture out of your skin. Suggest decreasing a daily bath or shower to every other day, use a moisturizing liquid soap like one from Olay or dove. Apply moisturizer as soon as you step out of the bath or shower before you dry yourself off and rub it in. Be sure the moisturizer you use doesn't contain any kind of alcohol as a preservative, many of them do, and they do not help.
