I mean.. your always movin' your tummy and butt n hips..
I'm sure after 5 months of doing that 3 times a day for a half an hour WILL help you lose?..
plus a healthy diet...
right?

It's great for muscle toning...the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. If you do fast belly dancing and get your heart rate up, that'll burn even more calories.

1.5 hrs of belly dancing per day, and a healthy diet, should = weightloss, yes. Just remember that the body can get used to doing the same thing all the time though, so you may want to vary your exercise routine, especially if you hit a plateau and your weightloss stops for a while.

ANY kind of exercise along with a healthy diet will help you lose weight as long as you are taking in less calories than you are burning.

If it is high intensity dancing, yes it will help you loose weight, like any other aerobic exercise. Also, eating healthy and limiting the amount of calories you take in (as long as your diet is balanced) is essential.

ANY activity that causes you to break a sweat will help you lose weight.

But since 80% of your caloric intake just goes to maintaining your body temperature, no amount of exercise is going to be as effective in losing weight as simply limiting how much you eat....
