Anyone ever do any shooting with one of these? Are they reliable? Thanks!

Can you expand on that answer? Do you own one, hear about it, or did you have the opportunity to shoot one?

Yes the .357 COP derringer is reliable,

they are well made little guns whose existance proved obsolescent.

If you have one it is worth more to a collector of arms than it is as a defensive pistol.

Although it will certainly work as such if needed.

You could buy both a .38 revolver and a Glock 9mm for the trade in value of a great condition COP derringer.

If your a collector then certainly keep it,

But if you want a reliable self-defence fire-arm trade it in for a far more effective modern weapon and let a collector enjoy it.

the company that made those COP derringers went out of business not long after they started, so there are no more new COP derringers, and there weren't a whole lot of them made in the first place. You need to look on the used gun market. Gunbroker, Auctionarms, and Gunsamerica are probably the best places to look. I have no idea how you'd get such a gun to Germany though.

I've owned two barrel (over n under) derringers and often one or the other barrel would misfire, but you could depend on at least one shot. Four or more barreled derringers (properly called 'pepper-boxes') are just additional monkey work, if you ask me. Get a regular revolver or modern semi-automatic.

If you need more info. on the four-barreled .357 Mags, let me e-mail you. The rest of the story is probably too graphic to be posted here.

I would not recommend using a derringer as a defensive weapon, unless absolutely necessary. If they're not close enough to rape you, you'll probably miss them.
