I am cooking a curry and asked my darling boyfriend to bring home some natural yoghurt.

He bought home natural yoghurt but its the "set" kind.

Is this still okay to cook with or will it curdle?

Thanks in advance!

Try to dissolve it in some cold water, it should work. There are some good recipes with yogurt in the link below.

Off course you can cook set natural yogurt. Today we don't set yogurt at home but otherwise all yogurt was made at home by setting it with setting agent (culture) at home. Just beat the curds before using it for curry to avoid lumps.

It is fine to stir in at the end, but do not boil or it will curdle. I am not sure about cooking from the start. I reckon you could stir it well to make it looser and it should be okay.
