Start > Settings > control panel
Run "Add/Remove Programs"
Select program in the list, and click remove.
The uninstall wizard should open, and let you uninstall the program
Most programs these days come with a built in uninstaller, which is usually found in... (using limewire as the instance)
Start > Programs > Limewire > Uninstall Limewire

Start, Control Panel, Add and Remove programs.
Find Limewire and click remove.
Maybe some shortcuts might stay on your desktop which are just pointers to the program that is not there anymore after you uninstall it. Just delete those.

use start menu to program and see if there is an uninstall page
or go to control panel in add remove pograms
