i am going to boot camp on june 7. i will do my basic training for 2 months and then i will go to A school for 6 months. after than i will come back to new york and go back to my college. but the problem is my semester won't start until september. so i don have anything to do between april to septemter. so i am just wondering if i can do something in the navy on my field as a full time.

Naval Reserve, right?
Talk to the admin NCO and the unit leadership. Explain your situation, desires and needs. Often there are some things that need to be done around the unit, so there is the possibilty that it could occur. Don't be upset if there isn't or that they won't commit to it until you're closer to finishing your training.
Also if you get a job before you leave for basic, they are required by law to take you back when you return. (Doesn't mean they always comply, but you can certainly push it if they don't. It's another place the unit can help if the employer breaks the law.)

I take it you are Reserves? than no. you can ask about FTS at your drilling location, but chances are it won't happen.
