Resting in the knowledge that this is all an unfolding of God's plan for the evolution of our souls. Everything that happens is a perfect part of the plan.
Although, George Bush really makes me question it.

Yes, by not being attached to the results of my actions. Another way is to live in the present without fretting about the past or worrying about the future. When you're able to enjoy this very moment, you have peace.

We live in a world full of stress and worry. Jesus helps you to find rest in the midst of that.
Matthew 11:29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
We have hope that one day we will be in heaven. We're just passing through in this lifetime. So what happens here doesn't compare to the eternity we will spend with Jesus in heaven without worry, pain, stress, fear, hunger etc.

The cup and the platter receive good and truth from the Lord.
The cup is the understanding and the platter is the will.
The bread goes to the platter and the wine goes to the cup.
