Hi, I would like some good references as far as Web Sites mainly, and some books, where I can learn more about Buddhism. I am studying on many different Non-Christain relgions for personal interest, this is not a project. Thank you for your time.

foolish anwers get a 'thumbs down', Im not interested in bigoted answers, Im interested in learning more about this relgion.
And to you, a man seeking answer IS encouraging to me. I appreciate those that seek truth and question everything--- not those who submit to mindless brainwashing

Welcome to the path of inner peace and happiness through realizing universal truths of existence. The journey is a long but rewarding one. The destination may be unreachable but the journey itself is a lesson in life. The following web sites will provide helpful information:

"What Buddhist Believe" by Ven. K Sri Dhammananda. This book explains the Buddhist perspective on life's general questions.
Venerable K. Sri Dhammananda was my revered teacher. His writings have benefitted countless people throughout the world. He had recently passed away (18 Mar 1919 -- 31 Aug 2006)

Although I more closely follow Tibetan Buddhism, (like MaxMarie), I also very much like Thich Nhat Hanh.
I would suggest: "The Essential Dalai Lama: His Important Teachings", edited by Rajiv Mehrotra
Also, try the following websites which include Dharma talks in mp3 format:
www.zencast.org (includes talks by Thich Nhat Hanh. The one titled "Being Peace" is a personal favorite.)
www.lamrim.com (Tibetan Buddhist Radio Station w downloads)

There are many different kinds of Buddhism. You'll want to narrow your search a bit.
I'm fond of Thich Naht Hahn's books. You might find his Buddhism appealing.

well, i read a wonderful book that puts together the eastern and western culture together. it is a book about a British writer who talked to Dalai Lama. i loved it. it is truly a wonderful book and i loved it. i don't know if it will help but i recommend it warmly. it is called The art of happiness(Howard C. Cutler). it is the best way to learn about their way of thinking.
