Your questions says you already believe the US is at fault and are just trying to justify your point.
Yes, the US is involved in many conflicts throughout the world. You neglect to mention that these nations ask and beg us to help them. We go there, help, and leave. There is no occupation or take over, we have no interest in staying. Not all actions come off with good results, but you statement is missinformed. Our country also sends our military all over the world on humanitarian missions. It is a fact there are a lot more of these than military conflicts. Before passing judgement and going off of what air america tells you to believe, study your history on each conflict and the role the US has been requested to play throughout the world. It's far different than what you have been led to believe.

You need to check this out before stating it.. Right now there are multiple wars going on in Africa and Asia that the US is not involved in. Plus over history you will also see the same thing, even WWI the US got in very late. The US being a superpower now and having allies or national interests does have to step up at times to ensure that our treaties or interests are preserved. Our leaders do care if you just read the criteria they use in making decisions that revolve around war efforts.

The sad fact is, we are the police of the world, and like the police, no one likes us, until they need us. If we get involved in a war, we're imperialists, if we don't, we're isolationists. We can't win. The world just wants us to be it's ATM. Pay for everything and get nothing in return but hate.

The US is one of a very very few that act responsibly in the world. Others bask in the security provided while profiting from destabilization and thumbing their noses at those that defend and protect.
