I'm sure some people would believe it but not me. Thanks for the question!

Sanitary conditions in 1970 Africa may have been such that Big George drank some bad water and actually got sick, but the odds of somebody actually poisoning him to fix the fight are slim. George's handlers were smart enough to protect their fighter from such activity, I don't think there was any malicious intent on the part of anyone to slow George or sway the out come of the fight, and only Geroge know what he felt like during the fight or what he ate or drank prior to it. Anything is possible, but waiting 30 years to reveal this just as his book is being published smacks of a publicity stunt.

Yes...for a couple of reasons:
Foreman never blamed his loss entirely on medicated water. He acknowledged then and several times since then that Ali would have won either way.
I have never heard Foreman make excuses for anything. He doesn't mince words.
I don't see how voicing his opinion on the subject could help him in the slightest. If anything, he risks people thinking he's bitter and/or lying.
There's no shame in losing to Ali, so why lie about the fight?

It wouldn't suprise me, will anyone believe him absolutely not. Boxing is a shady sport. I'm still convinced to this day that Tarver's glove had something in it, when he KO'd RJJ. Everybody just laughs but if you watch the tape Buddy keeps saying "wait to throw the left, then start of 2nd round he say's throw that left, do it throw that left" First, left BLAST he was down. The way RJJ's head came in, instead of back. Tarver set it up perfect so he wouldn't get questions by saying before the fight "any excuses roy." The way it adds up to me i'm convinced he has something in his glove.

no. more than likely it was the heat in africa. and all the hype, and alis mouth that mentally wore him out. also ali was much stronger and was able to weather foremans early round onlslaught unlike norton and frazier. all these things played a part in foremans zombie like performance.

Highly unlikely I am sure we would heard before now. Foreman would have a contract for a rematch surely.

I believe they did a lot of things to him down there. That fight was set up for him NOT to win. He got death threats, they wouldn't let him leave country when the fight was delayed, they loosened the ropes 'till they were like rubber bands, etc. They could have easily fed him something to weaken him.

I can't believe him due to the fact that he waited until now to speak out about it.
