The U.S. just turned over 3 providences back to the Iraqi government and the number of Iraqi police and soldiers on their own have double since last year. When that number doubles again, there should be enough of them to handle the insurgents on their own. That makes it 7 out of 18 providences back in the hands of the Iraqi government so far this year. That means the insugents are losing territory and that the U.S. governmetn is on course of handing back all of the territory back to Iraq by the first part of the second quarter of next year. Also Iraqi deaths have dropped 50% from this time last year.

The mujahedeen has strength in cowardice. It's easy to shoot at someone from behind a child. If you want to know how the insurgent "fighters" stack up against US troops, look no further then the kill ratio. Apparently it takes 40 or 50 of those AK-47-toting ninnies to equal one American.

The arguments all contradict one another. One guy complains that 100,000 troops is not enough yet I'msure he has argued against the draft on many occassion.
Other people say we are trying to save livesand not cause collaterol damage. So, are you saying we continiue to lose the war inorder tonot cause collaterol damage???

This is truly a sad situation and what a motley crew we are.

Because we don't use suicide bombers or car bombs or IEDs. We actually use armed and unarmed combat. We're not cowards, we fight the war the right way. Maybe the leaderships of Al Qaeda should creep out of their holes and fight. We're Americans, and we will fight this war with fairness and dignity. And we don't consider this a holy war, because there is nothing holy about it. It is for the freedom of the Iraqi people. I wish people like you would see that. People like you are delaying the freedom that Iraqis deserve.

If the mujahadeen has all the strength then why is all the fighting in the middle east? Why did the Taliban fall so easily?

They are reduced to bombing civilians at the market. Murder does not equate to strength.

Hey! They've limited attacks on the "secure" Green Zone to just a few a day! Now that's success!

That would be because in all wars leading up to Vietnam, if you were getting shot at by a sniper in a building and the enemy didn't have anti-aircraft weapons, you'd call in an airstrike and destroy the whole building, while in the PC era we have to go house to house, room to room because we wouldn't want to blow up the people who give the terrorists money, room and board now, would we?
