Read the Un-Patriot(ic) Act for yourself and after you're done with that read each of the Executive Orders President Bush has signed since then.

If, after having read these things, you fail to see the difference then you might bother reading the United States Constitution and focus on the Bill of Rights.

I say this as a Republican. But not all Republicans believe in the Patriot Act or in the dictatorial President we have.

little on the surface as far as the average persons every day life. but i think the changes that have been made are just setting up the foundation for something much more horrible that what we experience now. if things keep going like they have been sooner or later everyone will be a potential target of the system.

Yes they have just think about when you go on a trip. Because of 9-11 we are now treated like the terrorist. They search and seize.

Civil rights changed? I'd say so. The president and those political mental midgets that is his administration have all but killed them.

the technical term is civil liberties (rights refer to equality).

but both have changed. people who are even remotely suspected are treated differently, based on race.

and congress has expanded power.
