Try developing a special memoir of the day--offer to photograph or videotape the event. Then, put pictures in an album. Another great idea is placing these either on a DVD, or Photo CD; add his favorite song of the year, or something to that effect. You may even like to interview him, or his friends, family, teachers--anyone, really, and include these. This will help him to remember the event in years to come.
