God pronounced them man and wife.
Your details ALMOST present a particularly interesting quandary...
However, consider: Were the laws (including those defining and prohibiting fornication) given by God to Moses BEFORE or AFTER the creation of mankind? Adam, Eve, and several generations of their progeny were all DEAD when the law was handed down.

The union of Adam and Eve was blessed by God. That is what is asked for by having a marriage in church. The rest is human legal contract that was not required at the time.

To say "christian marriage" is ignoring the fact that the country is made up of people of varying religions and atheist views. To say only the "Christian marriage" is correct means anyone who marries in an Islam marriage, Hindu marriage or as civil non - religious ceremony, is therefore wrong. To base a law of marriage on Christian view of marriage altogether ignore the multitudes of people and their beliefs that live in many countries. That's why religion and politics shouldn't mix.

Marriage in God's eyes is not a cermony but the actual taking of a person in sexual union of the opposit sex. Humans are the ones the perform a cermony. That is why fornication is a sin. Sex before human cermony would be consider sin.

Biblical marriage is not like the marriage we think of today. Government has a stong presence in what Americans think of as marriage.
Marriage was designed by God for the uniting of a man and a woman. A vow was taken before God.

IT was the Almighty who pronounced them "man and wife" and so,no further ceremonies etc. required and there was a trend that the boy who as born in the morning would get married to the girl born in the evening when they would grow up and so as generation grew there came you and me.

The Lord Himself married Adam and Eve for time and all eternity. Having received the Holy Priesthood at the hands of the Lord, Adam and his sons were able to officiate at marriages.

Genesis says God brought the woman to man.
It would seem God married them.
Adam was supposed to be the grand patriarch of the earth, so he could be qualified to perform any wedding ceremony needed at the time.

Seems to me that since God Himself was there, there wasn't any need for another to officiate a wedding...and....was the one and only most perfect union...besides that of Joseph and Mary, lol...As for whom officiated to their children? God blessed them, so, He could choose to do so Himself or give the appointment to another.
