If I know or have at least heard of the person or if they are saying something nice YES
If it is someone saying something disgusting or someone sending me hate mail (which I have gotten both of those) NO I just delete them.

It depends. Usually, the emails I get are sophomoric rants about how evil I am for being an atheist. Those do not warrant replies. I always answer the people who are kind or who seem to want to have a genuine dialogue, though.

That all depends on the content. If someone's being friendly I answer. Those who are preaching get a respectful reply, but they understand not to contact me again. Those who send hate mail are deleted and ignored.

I almost always answer them. They're usually about religious questions, which I enjoy answering. I only ignore them when they are really ridiculous or insulting, or if I simply do not have time. But I answer the majority of them.

The only one I ignored was a mormon (i could tell he was a mormon, I went to his prophile and his question defended the mormon religion and someone said he wwas an ex-mormon and he added details to his questions and said he wasn't an ex-mormon) who kept emailing me asking me if I was a retard rabbit, it was huntingforfools. He finnally got the hint and left me alone, he even wanted me to add his as a friend, now he may have been trying to be funny, but I was not sure.

I answered one from a women in my area. She seemed nice so we started emailing back and forth and then she just dropped off the planet.

If it's relevant to something I care about or have knowledge about, yes, I do answer the emails from Y!A.

I answer them all. They are usually from friends or friends of friends. I haven't gotten any crazy, hateful mails as of yet.
People just have to watch out with me, friends or their friend, if I get chain mail from them I send it on & back to them but they are now likely to get copies of all I receive too.

Most of the time even if they are hate filled. My responses are intended to show that I am a normal person and not some machine.

Depends on the email.
If it's just a continuation of a rant that began on here, I don't respond. If it's an actual communication to me, then I respond.
