If we are at peace internally we can still be aware of fear, worry, and depression, much like the Buddha. While the Buddha had vanquished fear, worry, and depression on a personal level, and while he taught that there is an end to suffering, he was aware of the fear, worry, and depression that plagued other sentient beings.

If a person has internal peace then fear and worry would not exist for them. Depression, on the other hand, could be a physiological disorder.

Actually, many of these wars have lasted for multiple years. We were at "war" with Russia from a year after WWII until the 1980s. And then the Kosovo conflict. And then Iraq. And then Iraq: Rematch. Technically, we've been at war nonstop since WWII. To answer your question though, everyone generation needs a fall and a redemption because, frankly, we need a high and a low in our lives to base our views of where we want to be on. As Patrick Wolf put it, "If it's never dark, how will you know the sun when it shines?"

I would say no :P It's the chicken and the egg type of question. I don't think you can achieve inner peace until you have first conquered your fears, your worries and your depression. And some other stuff like anger too.
Having inner peace means you have already vanquished those things :)

Yes but it's a supernatural peace and to have it it is all specified in the book of Philip (New Testament) where the heart says:
Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This is the kind of peace Daniel had when he was in the furnase and with the lions. It comes from God

Peace is a state of being rather than the cause of anything. It is present here and now for everyone since it is in the nature of being. Remove the overlay of fear and peace is what remains. Peace is what one IS in the absence of the need to be something else.

I am a born again Christian and I still feel these things once in awhile. What is the difference is, I can call on the name of Jesus Christ, go read the bible, listen to praise and worship music, and remember the hundreds of promises God has given me, for hope and a future.
Being a Christian doesn't mean you never again experience the valleys of being human. It means you know Jesus Christ is with you, in that valley, should you ever find yourself there.

Yes... but elevated serotonin really works great! LOL! I couldn't help it...smile. it's true though.
Vanquish is a bit if a tall order don't you think? I little worry and fear is part of the survival kit.
