when i get these pains i cant see ata ll out of my eye on that side and its beyond painful but only lasts about 30 seconds at a time does anyone know what it might be and what should i do about it?

It could be a migraine headache or something worse. i would get to the Dr. and have them run a CAT scan or a MRI. I have a son that has severe migraines that he inherited from myself and his maternal grandmother. The only way we got the correct diagnosis was to get to a neurologist and get some tests run. Hope it's nothing major and hope you get to feeling better soon.

sounds like a complicated migraine. Reduce the amount of caffeine you are taking in. Eliminate it if possible. This includes chocolate. After about two weeks they should stop.

It sounds like some kind of neuralgia. Sometimes it can happen after a virus. SOmetimes, there is no reason. Try anti-inflammatories once or twice a day (motrin or asprin) for a day or two.

Im not a nurse but i strongly suggest that you see a doctor. It could be really serious.
