Last night I saw an ad that conveyed the idea that guys are dirty smelly disgusting slobs. Whats up? Do females really think that way about us? Do you females even like guys? If so, why. If not, why not? This is meant to be a serious and polite question.

That was just an ad and it does not reflect the opinion of women. Men are wonderful beings...not all are disgusting dirty smelly slobs. If women actually hated men then we would have left the Earth and founded a planet without men...

Your question is too general. You need to be more specific. I personally like men. Yes, there are some who fit in the "dirty, smelly, disgusting slobs" category, but not all.

It is a stereotype of the slob that never picks up after himself and never knows where anything is, etc. Maybe some women DO see guys as being that way and maybe some guys ARE that way. I, personally, take each person as they are and try not to stereotype. As for liking guys, yes I do. I like the way they think and see things....sometimes it can be really different from the way I do, and the perspective can be interesting and illuminating. I like guys who are considerate and caring, like to talk about different things and are open-minded and willing to hear a different point of view. There are many different sides to a guy's personality and the fun comes from discovering them.

those ads make me laugh..
i guess things like that form IMAGES in my head, so if i see a person who looks like them, i relate back to the ad.. i dont say, oh look.. he looks like the dude from the ad, he's probably a smelly disgusting slob, its more like.. hmm, i wonder what this guy's like...
i have my own image of guys i see, and .. what it is? i'm not really sure, but on the bright side, i like boys =)... i find boys alot easier to talk to than even my girl friends sometimes and well, what would we do without them =)

That is not conveyed in my mind-yes some men relied on their moms for most of their lives and cannot get the will to lift a finger to hang their towel up but others (especially military boyfriends) are actually clean and respectful of their homes. I like my boyfriend and although I wish he did things different we can't mold our loved ones.

honestly the men in my life are like that ad after they work but they clean up nicely after wards and i love to get close but others they are down right lazy to even wash their own balls.you guys have a way of leaving every thing every where like your dirty clothes,not washing your hands after doing dirty stuff,and eating some disgusting combination of food with some terrible eating habits

I won't lie to you: there are some guys out there that are the way you described, but in general, I don't believe guys are that way. I certainly wouldn't waste my time with men who were. In anger, many women may feel this way when a guy has done something to them they don't like. Something tells me this advertisement you saw was just for entertainment purposes only. Don't let it get you down.

no i dont think about guys like that unless the are really like that. all guys seem the same yes... like they never want love... but i think all the time that there has GOT TO BE a man out there who is not all the same as the others. but yes some guys are like that but some are not. some guys are different. i like guys if they really care for me... but its really hard to find a guy like that out there so i really do not trust men that much. i mean a lot of them cheat, look at other women, and just dont care about womens probs. but i just try to ignore those thoughts and believe.... hope this helps!

Men are definitly a different "breed" we like you"all allright, and yes... it seems usual for SOME men to be a little smelly and disgusting, as we women are SUPPOSE to be clean, pretty and polite.

Trust me, ladies like guys. We just don't like it when they degrade women and only care about how big their boobs are or when they look at other women because their butt looks big in their jeans or ect. It's just not right. Also when guys are dirty, have acne, and are smelly it kinda grosses me out too.
