I havve a cat that is an outdoor cat. She used to be indoor but my stepmom kept o ngetting cats because she wanted to get her 4 year old to sleep in her room. I don't know where the logic is there because she still doesn't sleep in her room. Anyway, my cat Pumpkin got sick of the other cats and stayed out doors. She would come inside to eat and when it was to hot or cold. She has been missing for almost 2 weeks now and I have been starting to get concerned. She does not have any tags because my step mom did not register our animals because she did not wont to pay the money. So she has no license because then people would see that our animals are not registered. She is going to the humane society right now to see if they have picked her up. I am going to go and asks neighbors if they have seen her lately. Any suggestions or something would be great. PLEASE now you brought this upon yourself comments, I already feel stupid.

All of the answers already say my opinion for the most part but I'd like to add that cats like to prowl at night...maybe try walking some late in the evenings and calling your cat. I've seen dogs out at night that I never see any other time running in packs.

If the weather in your area has been nice lately, it may be that Pumpkin has simply been checking out the food/activity choices in your neighborhood. When conditions are right for some outdoor cats, they have no need to come home for food or shelter. If Pumpkin has been able to find/hunt enough food for the 2 weeks, along with having beautiful starry skys to sleep under, then she may just prefer to be away for a little while...kinda like a vacation. Hopefully this is the case, but do be sure to check with neighbors, print up flyers & post them on lightpoles, public billboards, & maybe even go door-to-door in other nearby neighborhoods in case she went further away. Good luck!

Call local animal shelters and vets. Two weeks is a long time for a cat to be gone from her home. Something could have happened to her or she may have been picked up by someone.

Your cat will probably come back caus i once had a cat who dissapeared for 3 months but came back still tame. Your cat probably wanted 2 explore. But cats have a pretty good sense of finding thier home.

You can also right a short version of how the cat looks on florescent paper and staple it to poles in your neighborhood and post LOST notices in your local grocery store. Also alot of newspapers do not charge for lost animal notices.

PLACE A TRAIL OF CAT FOOD TO YOUR HOUSE, CHECK ALL SHELTERS, LEAVE UP SIGNS SAYING LOST CAT-- IT NEEDS IT'S MEDICATION: PEOPLE WONT KEEP A CAT THAT THEY THINK NEEDS MEDICINE IF THEY FOUND IT.
