Good sci-fi show (Firefly) written by Joss Whedon. Serenity was the name of the ship.

To me, serenity means a form of peace. Feeling whole, and complete, at peace with God and myself.
I know the secular definition means something else, but when I think of having serenity, that's the feeling I'm searching for.

Different translations of the bible would suggest love and charity are synonmus. Examples found in.1st Corrinthians ch. 13 vs. 1-17 illustrate this many times. I would enjoy hearing from a scholar of the languages used in those past times to clarify my understanding. The story of the "World's Poorest Philanthropist", Gilbert "Harold" Ewing II (myself) is the reason for this querry. The " act of grace", or charity, reffered to in the news interview, has posited this question and I lack the sort of education to provide any insights of true value.

serenity to me means peace in the midst of a storm. You can be going through the most horrible things and still know that He is God.

I'm sure you mean something other than the undergarments for the elderly incontinent. But that's the first thing that comes to mind. LOL Other than that I picture it as silently communing with nature.
