I hate it when people, mostly people who have never had problems with their weight, say "diet and exercise". Alot of thin people I know eat alot worse than I do!! Smokers are given pills on a platter, most of the time for free, I do not feel sorry for someone who is stupid enough to start smoking knowing the risks. I've been overweight my whole life. It has nothing to do with overeating. My family didnt exactly have alot of money for extra food. My brother is the one who ate like a pig but never gained anything. So get off our case you skinny little jerks. Anyone else feel the same?

i know - its because those who say its easy have never tried following anything like that.
i have been on different diets since i was like 13 - my mom and dad and the whole community actually was giving pressure (i coma from very "skinny people loving" contry) and now i know it was all fad diets because none of them have a clue about nutrition - everybody were just telling to eat less or dont eat at all
now i have been following this for about 2 years - put it together myself
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

These days they say the word diet makes it hard to loose weight. So they now call it a change of life plan for eating and not a diet. I call it a diet no matter what other trendy name they want to give it.
I too have been fighting the flab most of my life but I do have to say it's in the genes as my family have been big boned people, having said that not everyone in the family are over weight. However, I do know that my health has suffered for being over weight, I'd like to do something about it but it's so expensive to buy all these fresh fruit n' veg. and I've too many disabilities to excerise! Only 6 months ago I did the, Ketosystem diet (www.ketosystem.com.au ) and I lost about 10 kilos. They closed for 2 wks. over Christmas so I never went back! I couldn't eat another green thing and gagged on the protein drink! Now( and very quickly) I gained the whole lot back plus a few extra kilo's too. At least I don't smoke or drink, not even diet soda's! People say I,m fair of face but when you're single it doesn't matter, to get a date you have to be thin! Life just isn't fair sometimes is it!! I just contend myself with liking myself and where my life is now, what else can you do! Please pass the ice cream!

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out Dr. Charles Livingston's video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

I could be very cautious of any vitamin that presents a fast repair approach to weight reduction as they may be able to be very difficult to keep and convenient to slip from well intentions and convenient to place the burden again on whilst you do both quit or quit. For total wellness, and a extra longer lasting weight difference, seem at a healthful weight-reduction plan and doing extra constant activity. A various vitamin, top on recent greens, end result, wholegrains and well protein and occasional on sugary, fatty and fried meals could be a well begin. If you dont do so much activity then strolling or swimming could be well to start with too.

How insensitive of you to put down so many people. You might be overweight and not eat as much but that doesn't mean you should be a ***** to everyone else. Try understanding their situations as much they would try to understand yours. Making a healthy habit is not easy for anyone. There's a lot of people who are trying to overcome addiction to food and nicotine. Some people can't help that they were born skinny. Why don't you just do something good for yourself instead of attacking everyone else.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

I too have had weight issues all my life, and the answer remains the same. The only way to lose weight is to take yourself in hand and have the discipline to eat right and exercise. Notice I said eat "right", not eat less. The truth is the truth, whether it's a skinny "little jerk" that says it or someone with a weight problem themselves. What you are doing is misplacing your anger with your own inability to control your weight onto those whom you feel have no understanding. Whether they understand or not, is not the issue. The issue is your own self discipline.

You're absolutely right. They think it's easy because they haven't had to do it.
