Get something that is unique to you.
Put it where ever the design fits nicely. My friend has a stylised scorpion on his shoulder for his star sign. Another has a celtic knot in the small of her back because of her irish heritage.
You'll have it forever. Use it to say something about you, your beliefs, your heritage.
The reason I am so passionate about getting the right tattoo is because I got a sh*t one when I was a teenager and really regret it. I'm getting it covered over soon.

A tattoo is a very personal thing. I have 3 of them. What do you love? Remember when you get the tattoo you will have it for the rest of your life so be sure to get something that you love and that you will be able to live with for the rest of your life. I have all 3 of mine on my back. I can't see them on a daily basis, but I know that they are there. Mine can also be covered with clothing. You need to decide on whether you want it to show, or to be covered. Ankle is a popular place so is the arm, the hip, the lower back, shoulder blades. I have one on each shoulder blade and the other on my lower back. I would love to get one on my wrist, but my hubby said it would look bad. Start of by finding a design you want or whatever. Then once you have found what you love decide where it should it go, make a print out of it and hold it onto the area you want it done at. That will give you an idea of how it will look. Good luck!! I hope this helped.

I suggest you do what I do when I'm thinking about my next piece; research it, find out what it means, look at as many pictures of other ones you can find, and think about what this tattoo really means to you. When you get things that don't mean anything and are just on impulse, you'll most likely regret it later on.
As for placement, make sure its' in a place that can be hidden if your future career is going to be in a professional workplace. If not, then wherever you feel like it would look the best...if you have trouble deciding, the tattoo artist you go to should be able to help you out.
When you do finally decide to go ahead and get whatever you're going to get, find a tattoo shop with a good reputation. Ask for their portfolios, and ask around to others what their opinion of the shop is. When it comes down to the actual time you get it, the artist should be more than willing to go over everything with you and work with you on how you want your piece to look like/where/etc.
Hope this helps.

A tattoo is a very personal decision to make. It's also a lifetime decision, it shouldn't be made lightly. If you seriously want to get a tattoo, do a little research on some art you would like, don't just walk in and pick any old thing off the wall. Talk to several different artists, see some of their work. Make sure you feel comfortable being tattooed by them and that they are in a clean hygienic environment. As far as the what and where, I would say make sure it's something that means something to you and something you can live with forever. Good luck!

A tattoo is a very personal thing and you should try to connect it with something really important to you like music, a loved one or even your pet. But it isnt something to be taken lightly. Once you decide where you want to go with it, then you can decide where and what you want. Its always to decide what you want and its size before the place coz you have to see where you can put it according to its size.
For a man, the back and the arm is the best. For a girl I would say that the lower back, arm, ankle and stomach(on the side) Depends on how much pain you want to handle(if you can handle a lot go for the back). For the design I found a nice site...hope this helps!!!!

It depends on if you want to show it off or if you want it hidden. I have one on my right ankle. As for what you want to have tattooed on you, really think about it because it has to be something that you will love years from now. Think about where you will be in 30 years and if you will be embarrassed of your tattoo or not. I have a shooting star. May I suggest that you get the tattoo in a place that will not be stretched out at any time. Your stomaach is probably the worst because if you gain weight that looks really bad. LOL. I think the lower back is cool but it is very painful there. Good luck. I love mine!!!

Pick a symbol that personally means something to you,(like wings,or a flower or bird, skull , band logo...{could be a design statement you love in your home- like grapes or kittens or boats- you know what I mean} or something that represents someone's name, or reminds you of an excellent time in your life) and get it including mainly your three favorite colors...... remember, this is pretty much permanent, so no love relationship names...just in case. Also, you can take in designs that you've made and they can replicate it for you.
If you are making your body a canvas, make sure that it's art you're putting there.

like i wanted a butterfly for while but then i got sick of them.
then i wanted a hanging monkey on my hip ,so when i wear a bikini it appears as if he's hanging of my pants.
but still i got sick off it. see what i mean?
and rite now im thinking of getting a small white tatoo.
