Pathogens are parasites, viruses, fungi and bacteria that can invade and colonize a human host there by causing disease.

If god did create them as punishment, he is one nasty dude. Ever seen someone with cholera, systemic candidiasis, or ebola?

If you say they were not created by god there only seem to be a limited number of alternatives.

They evolved: But in this case you have to accept “macroevolution” since there are thousands of different species of pathogen covering all three kingdoms. Moreover if you are a “young earther” you have to accept that these pathogens evolved over a very, very short time span (<500 years) since a huge variety of diseases have been documented in many ancient civilizations.

Or…

Satan created them: Which is an interesting concept in and of it self.

Or…………

I’m waiting :-)

IN MY OPINION:
God did create the heavens and the earth, which is home to these nasty pathogens... However, sickness has been around since creation... Things cause sickness when it has been abused by someone... Think about childbirth... it is punishment for what Eve did... And everyone from now on has the scar from it (bellybutton)... If we had no sickness, we could not be humbled and would not praise God for small miracles... Perhaps sickness comes as warning to some either with it or someone who knows the infected... God gives everyone multiple chances to get saved and accept him as their personal savior!

In the beginning God created the earth as a perfect atmosphere. He created everything for a purpose even bacteria. but because man allowed sin in the world, things that could be used for good became corrupt, just like man himself. Satan didnt creat anything, he doesn't have that kind of power but he does have the power to take things that God intended for good and corrupt them. Im not saying that people with these diseases are sinful im saying that ever sincce adam and eve ate the fruit and sinned, satan has continually taken things God intented for good and corrupted them. think about it. There is good bacteria, and fungi.

Simple.

Proverbs 26:2
"As the bird by wandering,
and the swallow by flying,
so the curse (disease) causeless shall not come."

As sin increases so do the pathogens, the impurities, the uncleanness.

What the above verse says is " a curse (disease) without a cause (sin) does not come."

For every disease there is a reason. We have personal sin and ancestral sin that we inherit.

I could give you healing Scriptures throughout the Bible but you would not listen.

He didn't create anything bad. Things just BECAME bad after He created them. They "Evolved" into harmful pathogens, you might say...

They are a result of sin, but that would only be a guess. The earth is in its fallen form, that is for sure. (look around) I am certain this world is a far cry from the paradise of Eden that we forfeited upon sinning.

imo most of those pathogens arnt a problem unless we are doing somthing wrong ... living in an unclean manner or unsanitary conditions ... doing nasty things ...they say even most influenza arises from asia where they use pig feces to fertilize the crops ..

They'll likely say that disease is part and parcel of the fall from grace.

Which does nothing to answer why their god would punish all of humanity for the sins of two, when no rational human would be that unjust.

Or why god would be required to sacrifice himself, to himself, to make up for their breaking a rule that he himself made and could just as easily just forgiven. Exactly for WHOSE benefit was he putting on his little one-man-show?
