The rifle was originally manufactured as a Spanish military rifle in the Oviedo Arsenal, in 1926.

It is probably either the model 93 or 95

Model 93 Mauser has a flat bottom bolt face
Model 95 Mauser has a round bolt face

Both of these actions are fairly weak and don't have the same safety features that the more common Model 98 has. if you hand load I would avoid hotter loads.

Google Mauser and do some tracking. It could be spanish or south american. There are over one hundred million military mausers manufactured since 1898; and I have been trying for years to get one of each for my collection (yes, I will need a bigger building).
