Yes, drinking water does help lose weight. It makes your stomach feel full, which in turn helps you eat less... water has many many benefits that most people will never discover. Drinking it warm however as compared to cold doesn't mean anything.
It is known however, that drinking colder water makes a higher thermal effect (body needs to warm it to use it, using calories to do it) albiet not much, it makes a difference. Keep in mind weight loss and fat loss are different things... if you're eating garbage and drinking water don't expect miracles... 60% of fatloss is what you eat, with the other 40% being exercise. One cannot work without the other.

Generally the only way to lose weight is to increase caloric output over the amount of calories you intake. But there are other more specific issues involved as well, including sugar accumulation and blood chemistry (hence, the South Beach Diet and similar that advocate cutting out sugars and simple carbs that the body quickly converts to sugars...and stores as fat)
The only proven and healthy way to lose weight is:
1) Exercise
2) Healthy diet, sensible portions
3) Cut out eating all the trash
4) Plenty of rest
5) Plenty of water
Water is the 'oil' that keeps the body's engine running - water is required for the other weight loss principles to function - since it's required for the body to function.
Hot water WILL aid the digestion - that's why cultures have made it a custom to drink hot beverages after meals for centuries.
But it won't help you lose weight other than that.
Hope that helps, best to you.

It's supposed to be drinking water before your meal to get you to eat less. In general, if you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, it helps digestions and other body functions and you may lose some weight.

I do not personally know if there is truth behind this, but it has been said that that drinking hot water will help dissolve fat and make it go through your sytem faster than if you drink cold things which will make it absorb into your body easier. It makes sense (kind of) and some use this reasoning fo why asian cultures are thinner (because they traditionally drink hot tea with meals) Although I do not know personally if works, its a cheap thing to try. Hot water will also fill you up as you probably know, and we could all drink a little less soda (and THAT WILL make you lose weight)

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Not too sure on the whole drinking warm drinks after meals will help lose weight by melting the food that's stuck to your stomach lining and esophagus.. But Drinking really cold water helps your muscles more than any of those drinks such as Gatorade and stuff. It doesn't burn the calories.

No, but drinking a glass of water with dinner isn't a bad idea. Drinking water helps minimize over eating. Also, walking after dinner would be a good idea to help keep yourself in shape. Sometimes if someone believes something is working for them their though alone can help them achieve what they are trying for. Good Luck.

Cold water is good, calories are burned just because it is cold too. Water is good for metabolism and is needed to lose weight. Green tea is really good, you should try that.
